From a top-down perspective I designed 5 different types of maps for this project: Linear race, Region, City, Encounter, and Open-World maps. This was an independent project developed over 4 weeks.



  • Developed 5 different styles of maps

  • Iterated on maps using player feedback from playtesting

  • Designed mechanics and levels to work together to create more immersive experiences

  • Utilized paper and pencil white-boxing to rapidly evolve the levels in early development

  • Analyzed levels and documented expected paths and impact on players
